The Graffiti Zone

Graffiti today is such an accepted part of culture that it’s hard to imagine what people in the UK experienced in the early seventies, as they watched their cities become steadily tattooed with street hieroglyphics. Some saw it as vandalism and a symbol of urban decay. But for the artists/writers who risked life, limb, and arrest, and the teenagers, filmmakers, & eventually, curators who admired them, graffiti was a hugely impactful art form.

We have invited along some of the UK’s hottest graffiti artists from Graffiti Life, to adorn their art on our MASSIVE graffiti wall. Come and see how they show off their skills and get some pointers and tips from the pros at the 'Graffiti Life Lab' - a drop-in workshop where you're welcome to paint if you're a first timer or an expert.

The Graffiti Life crew are multi-disciplined fine artists and graphic designers who also happen to be some of the UK's best known and well respected street artists, graffiti writers and urban visionaries. They tirelessly promote graffiti as a positive artform whilst displaying the diverse range of opportunities available through urban art. More details of their work and services can be found at www.graffitilife.co.uk

The guys will be creating a show-wall throughout the event, and their friendly experts will be on hand to share tips, techniques and answer any questions you might have.
